The Problem We Are Solving

Worldwide, the traditional academic curriculum is designed strictly for literacy, and not for the mastery of tech skills. However, real-life experiences have shown that in today’s tech-driven world, literacy alone is no longer enough, but digital skills are a must-have for everyone to thrive in career, business, or personal life.

Imagine Tunde, a bright 12-year-old in Lagos, who dreams of creating the next big apps like YouTube and TikTok, but he doesn’t have the tools or training to enable him to achieve his dreams. Unfortunately, he’s not alone in this dilemma —3.5 billion people worldwide lack digital skills, even though over 60% of jobs today require them.

Africa, home to 1.5 billion people with 70% under 30, faces the biggest challenge. Only 13% of its workforce is digitally skilled, placing the continent at the bottom of the global Digital Skills Index. This gap leaves millions unprepared for the booming $180 billion digital economy projected by 2025. If nothing changes, Africa could miss out on this huge opportunity, leaving millions of talented young people like Tunde struggling to turn their dreams into reality.

The digital divide is not just statistics—it is:

The frustration of a parent who is not sure if AI will take all the jobs, and if there will still be jobs left for their children in the future.

The limited potential of a child who lacks access to essential digital skills to compete globally.

A continent striving to claim its rightful place in the global economy but held back by the skills gap.

This huge problem staring us at the face is what drives us at Aceplora! Does it also drive you? If yes, join us now, the wind is behind us!
